Dr. Chetan Singh Solanki from the Department of Energy Science and Engineering, IIT Bombay received an award in person for National Centre for Photovoltaic Research & Education (NCPRE) from Mr. Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of State with Independent Charge for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy in the Government of India.

B. G. Fernandes of the Electrical Engineering Department, IIT Bombay.
This award is given for the best R&D project in the field
of solar PV in India. On this occasion, the Secretary of Ministry of New and
Renewable Energy (MNRE), Mr. Upendra Tripathy and the Energy Minister of
Karnataka, Mr. DK ShivaKumar were also present.
It is a matter of great pride for kWatt Solutions Pvt. Ltd.,
a venture founded by Prof. Chetan Singh Solanki. The company is currently
incubated in the Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE), IIT Bombay.
